South Carolina’s first children's hospital
Prisma Health Children’s Hospital in the Midlands, in Columbia, is South Carolina’s first children's hospital and has more than 150,000 children’s visits each year.

They offer more than 30 subspecialties to meet the unique health care needs of children and have central South Carolina's only Children’s Emergency Center.
​
Because children go through many stages of growth and development, their health care needs are very different from those of adults. We have child-friendly features on every floor and we are dedicated to providing world-class care in an environment designed with children's and adolescents’ unique needs in mind.
